@ludicity See, if you'd read the classics, you'd know what classical societies tended to do to VCs (the fate of Marcus Licinius Crassus comes to mind). I believe we should reinstate the practice, myself, but unfortunately stock options don't melt quite as well as gold does.

Seems like there's some kind of memory leak in the microblog.pub code. I have to restart the server processes at least once a day to keep things running smoothly. I'm very happy overall on this new server, but this is definitely something I need to fix before I can comfortably make it my main account.

None of the usual Mastodon apps work with microblog.pub (as it doesn't implement the Mastodon API), but posting from Indiepass seems to work. Or rather, if you're seeing this post that means it worked.

The neat thing about microblog.pub is that it supports long-form articles as well, so I'll probably start consolidating a bunch of my old articles on here as well. And who knowns, maybe I'll even write some new ones.

The import of my follows seems to be mostly finished. Lost about 40 in the process. Probably a bunch from old instances that disappeared at some point in the last seven years. Maybe also still a bunch of pending manual approvals that'll drip in over the next few days.
